Things to consider.

In either Gulf Shores or Orange Beach the choices will be between a condo, beach house  or a motel, and on the beach or off. On the beach either option will allow for the ceremony to be held on the beach right behind the unit. Budget will most likely be the deciding factor. If you will be staying off the beach then you will need to choose one of the public beach access areas. See a list of possible locations here.

Things to consider are:

Distance from where you are staying.

Amount of parking available.

Distance from parking to the beach.
Older or handicapped persons can have a hard time getting to the beach in some locations. Some rental companies offer electric wheel chairs with over sized tires for operating in the sand.

Available sand dunes and sea oats for picture taking.

For larger weddings parking at the location must be considered. We have attended large weddings weddings at condos and beach houses where there simply was not enough parking. In some cases guests were asked to park in a public parking area and shuttles were used to get the guests to the location. Parking at the public beach accesses varies considerably. See a list of possible locations here. With photos and information about the size of the parking lots. During the busy season parking at condos is very limited. Ask about guest parking.

What local venders will you need? Officient, wedding coordinator, photographer, videographer, caterer, dj, live entertainers, limo, shuttle, bakery, florist or rental company? Some vendors actually live right here in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley or Elberta. Others work this area but actually live further out. We are continually adding more to our listings.
